On July 11, 2026, nearly 180 community members gathered at Scott’s Seafood in Oakland for an unforgettable evening supporting scholarships and youth athletics. The celebration included seven scholarship presentations, Ballet Folklórico, a spirited live auction, and dancing to Mio Flores Latin All-Stars. On July 19, 2025, our community came together at Just Dance Ballroom in Oakland for an evening of celebration and support. The night featured a performance by Ballet Folklórico de Ricardo Velazquez, live music by Mystique with Mio Flores, and over 20 exciting raffle prizes. We proudly awarded $8,000 in scholarships to four outstanding local students. Browse through over 250 photos.
On July 20, 2024, our community gathered at Just Dance Ballroom in Oakland to celebrate the relaunch of the La Raza Athletic Association after decades of dormancy. The evening featured a keynote address by Oakland City Councilman Noel Gallo and music by the Funky Latin Orchestra, with Mr. Mio Flores on timbales.
